Stereo 3D Training Workshop - Boatbuilder & Brunel Lock

Where: Underfall Yard & Brunel Lock, Cumberland Road Bristol UK, BS1 6XG

When: 26 March 2013 10:00am to 5:00pm

Stereo 3D Filming Workshop at Underfalls Yard, Bristol Docks

This workshop series spends a whole day filming in stereo 3D using various cameras on location at interesting venues around the South West of England.

This particular workshop will be held at the western end of Bristol's historic docks at Underfalls boatyard. This is a fascinating and much overlooked part of Bristol and contains many significant buildings, engines and boats dating back to the origins of Bristol as a seagoing port.

Underfall is a working yard where we will spend some time filming the on-going construction of a beautiful traditional wooden sailing boat currently being built by a local boatbuilder.

In order not to disrupt work we will not spend all day filming the boatbuilder: depending on the weather we will also be filming some of the other classic boats berthed nearby in the harbour and many other aspects of the working life of this part of the city, such as Brunel Lock and the Swing Bridges.

Rushes will be reviewed on a 3D TV display and all the footage will be available for editing on our later Introductory Stereo 3D Post-Production Workshop. We will produce a short stereo 3D video with everyone involved credited on the production.

Entry Cost: £80+VAT for qualifying film/doc TV personnel
