Welcome to the first in a series of exciting 3D Filmmaker Sessions planned for 2013, a collaboration between Watershed and The 3D Network to provide a Bristol based professional forum to explore the creative use of depth, space, and volume in film and television making and the possibilities that a whole suite of new storytelling tools offer filmmakers.  For more information visit

In this inaugural event we are delighted to welcome Tom Barnes, Aardman Animation's Technical Director who will present a fascinating insight into the challenges and opportunities 3D storytelling brought to the Oscar-nominated production of The Pirates: In An Adventure With Scientists 3D.  There will be the opportunity to see 3D clips from the film and the presentation will be followed by Q & A .  Introduction by Stephen Lyle (BBC Earth Films - Enchanted Kingdom 3D)
