CineMe Shorts - Networking & Short Film Showcase

'CineMe Shorts' takes place every last Tuesday of the month and is an excellent opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their short films, animations and documentaries.
This month we will be screening a selection of high quality short films, made by British independent filmmakers including - The Surprise Demise of Francis Cooper, a short animation from award winning animator, Felix Massie; Notes, a drama about dementia; Troy, a short about a toy robot, who leaves the factory where he was created to embark on a mini adventure and Square Pianos, a short documentary piece made by talented filmmaker, Sheridan Lunt, who runs Piski Films.
The main film screened this month is a 30 minute documentary called David's Diary, directed by Tom Stubbs and produced by JUMPcuts.
The film is about David Ripley who had mild special needs after being born with Hydrocephalus in 1971. He grew up in Liverpool and at fifteen moved to Somerset. The documentary takes the audience through the last 2 years of his life as he battles leukeamia, in parrallel an extensive photo archive explains David's upbringing, key achievements, hobbies and values. This months CineMe Shorts takes place on Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 at 8pm in the 'Green Room' at The Tobacco Factory Bar. Please arrive before the start time to be seated.
