Pervasive Media Studio Lunchtime Talk: Zoetrap Alternate Reality Game and story App

Where: The Pervasive Media Studio, Watershed, 1 Canon's Road, BS1 5TX

When: 09 December 2011 1:00pm to 2:00pm

Zoetrap is a spooky Alternate Reality Game (ARG) from Spirit Level Productions that debuted at StoryWorld, the world???s first transmedia entertainment conference in San Francisco over Halloween. Players were taken on a three-day terror ride through the spirit world via a live crime scene, bespoke tarot cards, newspapers, a ghost pamphlet and an iPhone App made in collaboration with App Furnace. Their mission was to find Oliver Drew, an occult transmedia producer who disappeared on the first day of the conference. The iPhone App emulated Oliver???s haunted phone and told his story. Players deciphered private messages, listened to chilling voicemails, scanned QR codes to unlock creepy hidden content and received scary calls from ghosts and phantoms. Creative Director of the project, Hannah Wood, and Creative Director of Calvium, Jo Reid, will talk about the collaboration, the event itself and lessons learnt about telling stories across multiple platforms. This Lunchtime Talk is part of Open Studio Friday, which takes place at the Studio every week. Do you want to find out what is going on at the Pervasive Media Studio?
