Part-time coding course announced by Develop Me
Develop Me grows offering with part-time coding course
Bristol’s only coding bootcamp is to expand its offering with a new 6-week, part-time coding course, launching this Autumn.
Currently offering a comprehensive 12-week bootcamp, the 5-star rated Coding Fellowship, as well as a variety of one day workshops, Develop Me will now teach the fundamentals of front-end web development in evening and weekend sessions over six weeks, targeting complete beginners and those wanting to upskill for an increasingly digital workplace in a flexible schedule that can fit around a 9 - 5 or child care restrictions. With the UK’s digital sector creating jobs twice as fast as the wider economy, developing digital skills has never been more important.
On completion of the course, students will be able to build and host websites that work seamlessly across multiple devices, making it ideally suited to everyone from entrepreneurs to marketers, return-to-workers to career-changers. The development of technical skills can also enable students to work more flexibly, ideal for parents who struggle to balance childcare with a rigid 9 to 5 role.
Tech Nation have recognised Bristol and Bath as the largest tech hub outside of London, with almost 36,000 digital jobs in the region. With digital roles also paying 44% more than the national average wage, there has never been a better time to take your first steps towards a new career in the digital industries.
Just like their Coding Fellowship, Develop Me’s part-time offering will be taught by industry experts. In this case, the course will be led by Ruth John, a Google Developer Expert, renowned conference speaker and front-end developer. The course will be offered to just 10 students to ensure all the help and support they need, and with significant interest already, we recommend getting in touch soon to avoid disappointment.
