IPA's Nigel Gwilliam on SXSW 2017

Published on Thursday, 6th April 2017

SXSW Interactive remains the pre-eminent emerging technology festival on the planet where some of the most influential and inspiring people from the world of tech, and way beyond, take the stage to explore the increasingly tech-driven world in which we live.

In 2016 Obama in his valedictory year came to speak at SXSW Interactive. How much has changed in a year. The IPA returned to Austin this March to find out whether cyber warfare, fake news and an alt-right phenomenon that began online would feature as key takeaways from South By along with the more expected themes of artificial intelligence, voice as interface and mixed reality all underpinned by the coming 5G revolution.

Come and join Nigel Gwilliam, IPA Consultant Head of Media and Emerging Tech present his findings from this year’s festival.

The event takes place at Zone, The Brew House, Tower Hill, Bristol BS2 0EQ on Thursday 20th April, with registration from 3.45pm for a 4.00pm start, finishing at 6.30pm

Members tickets £20 +vat, non-members £30 +vat and students £10 +vat
