About The Role: We are looking for a talented creative Flash Developer/Designer to design and develop Adobe Flash-based multimedia applications and creative elements. You’ll be designing and developing graphical user interfaces for print magazine cover-discs over our extensive portfolio of print publications, as well as designing Flash ‘micro-sites’ and advertising banners for our numerous internal and external clients. Alongside this you’ll be designing and developing Adobe Flash animations and video presentations. Working in conjunction with our lead developer you’ll project manage and assist in the production of digital magazines. You will work closely with the Multimedia team as well as our internal/external clients to create ‘the standard’ in Flash production, pushing the technology to its limits and in new directions to keep Future at the forefront of Flash-based design, development and user experiences. About You: You will be highly experienced with Adobe Flash, Action Script and have solid Flash animation skills. Demonstrable digital art design and production skills are also needed alongside extensive expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop. Practical experience of Flash video encoding and implementation/deployment of Flash-based video players is required as well as a good general knowledge of HTML, XML and other online standards. You’ll be a good communicator and have experience of working to strict deadlines and schedules. A familiarity with PHP, Apache and MySQL as well as experience of cross platform software development is also preferable.
