Bristol Media is a Community Interest Company, with a board of Directors, Chair, CEO and Project Manager. It now has a group of individuals and companies who have subscribed to become affiliated members, in return for greater access and reduced costs for the events and services the CIC provides.

If you are a member and you’d like to get more involved in the activities of Bristol Media, there are some easy ways:-

Every Board member has responsibility for a particular area of the Creative Industries, and has monthly contact with people involved in it. (http://www.bristolmedia.co.uk/board-members) If you have particular ideas to help Bristol Media achieve its aims, do get in touch with the key person, and join in the Steering Group meetings.

We are always open to offers to help create and deliver new Bristol Media events – simply contact Caroline Marshall if you see an opportunity we haven’t spotted.

The website is the place to stay in touch with activities, and we’ll post a Chair’s report after each Board Meeting – they happen every month, generally on the first Thursday. You can feed back any comments directly to Paul Appleby.

Every year there will be an Annual Members Meeting in October, which will be open to all subscribing affiliated members. The date and time will be announced on the website. As well as reporting back on the activities, there will be an opportunity for any subscribing member to ask a question of the Board.

The position of Chair will be up for election by the Board every April, and it’s likely that as the activities grow, there will be new opportunities for people to join the Board. If you are interested, then email Caroline or call 0117 971 0199, and we’ll take that interest very seriously!
