Founded in 1999 by CEO Emma Brierley, Xchangeteam was the first pioneering freelance PR recruitment agency in the UK. Today, Xchangeteam offers freelance resourcing and permanent recruitment across integrated marketing, media, PR & communications, internal communications, public affairs, design, editorial, digital, events, advertising and design. Its mission is to innovate and to offer its two key customer bases - its clients and freelance consultants/permanent candidates - the best possible service.

The company boasts an annual turnover of approx \xC3\x82\xC2\xA36.8m, has two offices and employs 35 staff, including 24 agents. Its client list adds up to over 2500 companies made up of corporates, agencies, charities and public sector organisations.

Xchangeteam has a wealth of freelance consultants and permanent candidates on its register, ranging from junior executives to board directors and many of Xchangeteam's own agents are ex-industry professionals themselves, so genuinely understand the needs of the marketplace.

The team philosophy ensures a supportive environment both internally and externally. We are Investors in People accredited and achieved REC Audit status, plus our agents all participate in our internal training Academy - we look after our own staff as much as we value our clients and talent pool.

We use our industry backgrounds to cherry-pick talent rather than have a scattergun approach and we pride ourselves on our personal approach, industry knowledge and tough vetting procedures. We create bespoke products targeted at key customers such as Next Generation - designed to bring young professionals into our client industries - and InterXchange - a product aimed specifically at helping our clients fill a mid-level skills gap with qualified overseas consultants who can often struggle to get UK work through other channels.
