Laura Allen - FCP Edit Assistant

I have been working in post production since graduating from a Media Practice degree at UWE Bristol in July 2007, where I achieved a 1st class degree. My skills include: • Competent use of Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Compressor and DVD Studio Pro. • Full understanding of machine room work including tape blacking, transfers, laybacks, split-track playouts, consolidates and end of edit tasks. • Proficient media management skills. • Wide-ranging experience of Final Cut Pro editing and workflow. • Energetic team worker. I have previously worked as a technical runner at Doghouse Post Production Ltd, where I carried out full post production house runner duties including digitising, media management and machine room operation. I have completed a six week graduate placement with Aqua Vita Films, where I took on a junior editor role, assembling full rough cuts and editing short package features for broadcast programmes. I authored the DVD menu of 'The Wolfman' documentary which later went on sale, and edited promotional videos for use at www.aquavitafilms.com.
