My name is Riccardo Riguzzi, I am 26 and I am living in Bristol to follow my dream to work in animation.
I truly believe animation is the most effective medium I can use to link together all my interests, my creative passions, my constant research of new creative stimulus and my hunger for story telling.
It is this hunger that drove me to follow university studies on Cinema in Italy, focusing my attention mainly on how to write stories and how to stage them using images (still and in movement) and editing. This passion for the stories leaded me to study storyboarding, model making and graphic novel too. I also have really good skills in leadership, planning and problem solving, all inherited from my job as a lab assistant in a graphic design secondary school.
To fully exploit my previous studies and experiences, I think the best areas where I could focus my interests are mainly two: the Story, as scriptwriter, storyboard artist or concept artist, and the Direction, as production designer or art director, hoping in a future to become a series or film director. Those are the best roles where my background and my personal aptitudes could be used proficiently.
