Reliable Source Music has 12 years experience composing and writing MCPS production music for Television, Film & Advertising.

We regularly compose music for the BBC with our most recent work for Maverick Television, BBC Top Gear and 'Operation Flower Nation' due for TX in late 2011.

Our MCPS production music library has over 100 multi-genre albums as well as being the sub publisher to another 130 albums. Our production music is pre-cleared for usage on BBC, ITV & Sky owned channels.

Pop Music 4 Synch is our commercial catalogue (www.popmusic4synch.com) which is a specialist 1970/80s collection containing tracks such as 'The Stripper' by David Rose (recently used by Virgin Holidays) and the well known football song 'Here We Go'.

Finally, Odyssey Music Ltd is our commercial music publisher and successful vehicle through which we provide commissioned music to our media & TV clients. Odyssey has a network of efficient sub-publishers to ensure our copyrights are looked after Worldwide.

John Sweeney: Manager
A music industry veteran of over 20 years, Sweeney worked at the Performing Right Society (PRS) and then with the Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society (MCPS-PRS Alliance) which is now known as PRSforMusic. Sweeney held the senior positions of Director of Operations and Director of Membership, where he was responsible for managing the teams responsible for composer and publisher relations on behalf of both societies. During the process of the operational alliance with MCPS, John was elected to the PRS Board as an Executive Director, a position he held for 3 years. Following the successful merger of the operational functions with MCPS, John then became an Alliance Board Member. John also helped establish the PRS Foundation (PRSF), the UK's only independent funder of new music across all genres. After serving as a Trustee, John became the charity’s Chairman, a position he held for 2 years. John remains a member of the PRSF’s Advisory Board. Sweeney obtained a MBA degree from the University of Westminster in 2005.
