A 12+ year methodical web developer and systems designer, incorporating optimisation and scalability from the outset. A creative security enthusiast and techno-fanatic. My passion lies in interconnected remote systems, and their efficient processing and communication.

Starting out as a perl programmer, my learning curve was steep, moving over to PHP i took the low level programming techniques and patterns with me and still build on them today, with more and more complicated programming challenges.

I have real world experience with CodeIgniter, Zend Framework, CakePHP, Magento, Opencart, Cubecart, Drupal, Wordpress, Symfony, integrating with many different payment gateways (Paypal, sagepay, worldpay etc), consuming all manor of remote data sources (XML (SOAP, RSS, ATOM), KVP, CSV, JSON etc) and I have also built my own ORM and router which i am successfully using in several sites.

I am proficient using GIT and SVN and work primarily on Linux for my development environment, i am also a keen web server sysadmin.
