DESCRIPTION:In Summer 2011, the West of England CIPR group organised a very successful conference for PR professionals in the West of England. Many of those who came asked us to arrange more such events – and, as a theme, social media topped the request list. So we would advise registering early for the second of our Freshly Squeezed breakfast events. Called  ‘Getting social strategically’, this session will cover the importance of a social media strategy, the basics of developing one, and how this fits with the traditional marketing mix. 

It takes place on Friday 20 January at the Environment Agency's state of the art headquarters in central Bristol. 

Places are limited, so please register early at ciprwestofengland@gmail.com   to guarantee your place. 

The cost is low (£5 for CIPR members/£10 for non-members), and the format is simple:

·   7.45 onwards – tea/coffee and pastries;

·   8.20 – main presentation;

·   9.00 – question and answer session

·   9.30 – ends.

The session will be presented by Aren Grimshaw. Aren is a strategic marketing consultant who specialises in the integration of Social Media theories and practices as part of an organisation's wider marketing approach. He has worked in media and marketing roles with a range of organisations across the south west, in both the public and private sectors. Aren is a regular presenter on the subject of Social Media, marketing and strategy, working with organisations such as Business Link, UKTI and Barclays Corporate to deliver practical content to their clients.
