Radio offers some great opportunities for new writers, and this summer school will show you how to make the most of these. You’ll discover what makes a successful radio short story, write a radio dispatch, and work together as a team to write a sketch show. You’ll also spend a day in the university’s state-of-the-art studio recording some of the work you have created. The course is led by the highly experienced writer and BBC producer Paul Dodgson. Paul’s radio drama Ivan and the Dogs won the Tinniswood Award for Best Radio Play 2010.
