A Practice for Everyday Life (APFEL) is a multidisciplinary design studio based in London, founded by Kirsty Carter and Emma Thomas in 2003. The focus of their work is with cultural institutions, typically for galleries and museums, events, exhibitions, publishing and editorial.
Here they discuss their approach to brand identity, graphic design and art direction, illustrated by recent projects including graphics and signage with FAT Architects for the Museum of Croydon, design of the identity for the Performa Art Biennial in New York and The Happy Hypocrite biannual journal published by Bookworks.
