All of us now have an online profile of some kind whether it's on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook or another social networking site. And it's this profile that gets us noticed. But does your profile market you a successfully as you would like?
At South West Creative Jobs, we have not been able to approve all the profile applications we have received simply because they're not complete or well written enough. And it made us think that we should offer some help in creating the perfect online profile. So we are running this one hour workshop from 5pm-6.15pm at Goldbrick House on Tuesday 29th March (prior to Media Tuesday) where you will learn some of the tricks of the trade when it comes to marketing yourself brilliantly online.
The workshop will be focusing on recruitment; many recruitment companies and businesses are recruiting online now, via Twitter, LinkedIn and other job sites. So if you are looking for a new job or are a freelancer looking for your next booking, it's important that your online profile will get you your next interview.
We'll be looking at how to create a successful well written profile including choosing the right photo, logos, links to social networking sites, CV's, showreels, opening paragraphs, etc.
The workshop will be run by our Recruitment Partner Liz Snell from Xchangeteam. Liz has many years' experience of working in the creative sector and is recruiting freelancers and candidates for permanent roles online every day.
If you would like to reserve a place, please email maddie@bristolmedia.co.uk The workshop is free to Bristol Media members. Non members will need to pay £15 to confirm your place but this also includes free entry into this month's Media Tuesday event following the workshop. Please email maddie@bristolmedia.co.uk for further information.
