Slapstick festival of visual screen comedy

Rob Brydon, Shappi Khorsandi, Ian Lavender and Bill Oddie will become the latest celebrities to appear at Britain's biggest festival of silent screen comedy when each hosts one or more events at Slapstick 2011, in Bristol, from 27 to 30 January. In all, the festival will offer 15 laugh-aloud attractions, including the premieres of rediscovered silent masterpieces, veteran writer and wit Barry Cryer's Top 10 Screen Comedy Moments and a gala at Colston Hall featuring celebrity chat, screenings and music from a 25-piece orchestra, five-piece band and Paul McGann.
