Bowing to popular demand from the West of England, Modern Shows touch down in Bristol this November to bring outstanding furniture and collectables from the middle of the last century.

Sneak away with some mid-century bargains at the Bristol branch of Time Out magazine's favourite event. If you love sniffing around British, Scandinavian, European and American vintage design for the home this will be your Mecca with original furniture you can buy and have delivered on the spot from household names Charles and Ray Eames, Arne Jacobsen, Hans Wegner and George Nelson. See Knoll and Saarinen jostling for space with original film posters, fabrics, lighting and the most collectable ceramics and glass from the post-war period to the late Seventies. With 28 dealers from throughout the UK taking part and a fifties theme you will not fail to have a fantastic day.

While you are shopping the delightful delovely Tricity Vogue will take you on an acoustic journey through her colourful history of romantic misadventure and expect some other surprise entertainment too. An absolute treasure of London's cabaret scene. Vogue, with her beloved ukelele, has been dubbed 'a very special talent' by Time Out and recipe for one of the finest shows you'll see. Kooky, quirky and ever so sweet, a cabaret to run down side-streets for.

There will also be a diner serving fifties fare like blueberry pancakes and maple syrup or you can visit the Bocabar cafe above the venue.

Entrance is £5 on the day or you can purchase an early bird ticket for £4 see above. Please be aware that not all of the designers have a credit card facility so you may need to bring cash or a chequebook to purchase or make deposits on the day. All of the dealers will deliver.
