Artist Talk: Matthew Olden

KWMC’s artist in residence Matthew Olden has been making little computer people. His playmates have specific task to complete, but occasionally their artist friend Julia turns up and encourages them to give up their tasks to make art, expressing themselves through music, pictures and poetry.
This talk will be a meditation on what it is to be a computer, taking in chaos, artificial stupidity, feedback, memes, maps, the death of the author and devolutionary programming.
