Cheltenham Film Festival

01 Oct - 03 Oct | Check website for details - www.cheltenhamfilmfestival.co.uk

Cheltenham Town Hall, Cheltenham Ladies College and The Parabola Arts Centre

Three days of unforgettable films from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 October will be showcased at some of Cheltenham’s most iconic venues. In addition to screenings at the Town Hall, film lovers will have the chance to attend events in the historic Princess Hall and contemporary Parabola Arts Centre courtesy of the Cheltenham Ladies College.

The diverse line-up for the weekend provides festival-goers with a variety of film genres, including world cinema and British independent films from the legendary Pinewood Studios Group. There will be family classics for all ages, plus special previews of a number of hot new movies not yet on mainstream cinema release.

But perhaps the greatest coup for the founders is the involvement of the BFI National Archives, which is marking its 75th anniversary with a special programme at the Cheltenham Film Festival. ‘Long Live Film’ will celebrate British classics, many of which have been recently restored, including silent cinema with live accompaniment by renowned pianist, Stephen Horne.

With 5 different screens over 3 different locations offering popular cinema, cult cinema, World cinema, classic cinema, premieres, previews, student cinema and more – there’s bound to be something you’ll love.
