DESCRIPTION:Little Room – Bristol A Second Look Finalists
The small gallery room will host the 16 finalists, as selected by our judges, from the free photo competition Bristol A Second Look. The comp has attracted a large number of very high quality entries and once again Second Look has been deeply impressed with the creativity displayed by the people of Bristol.
The challenge was to produce a picture showing:
unnoticed aspects of Bristol,
what we might otherwise pass by,
the small things we take for granted,
details with hidden interest or beauty, or
places which people might not normally be able to see.
The judges will choose the 16 pictures that best meet this brief. The over all winner will be chosen by public vote so come down and let us know your favourite!
(The public vote will run from September 10th to September 30th. After the exhibition in the gallery the finalists will be displayed in the shop to allow people to continue to vote. The finalists will also be displayed on the Second Look website, in the local press & on posters around Bristol).
Main Room – Red!
As a complete variation from what’s on show in the small room, the Second Look photographers will be showing pictures on the theme of Red in the main gallery. These will represent the varied range of styles, techniques & interests that make up the Second Look members.
