Film Genre and Comedy
22 Apr - 03 Jun
Drama Department, Bristol University
This course examines how comedy is used in often surprising contexts within a range of different genres from horror to sci fi to political films. We’ll debate notions of genre and view different approaches to comedy on screen, and then we’ll watch and discuss a wide range of clips from films of different genres. Learners will be encouraged to bring their own experience to the discussions.
