This informal evening workshop is essential for all those agency and in-house PR and marketing consultants looking for television coverage.

With sound advice from TV insiders, the workshop will teach delegates the golden rules of pitching their clients’ brands, products and services to regional, local and national terrestrial and satellite television.

The CIPR West of England has gathered together some of the region’s most knowledgeable experts who will be on hand to give you the tips and strategies you need to generate and make the most of any air time you will achieve.

The speaker programme includes:

Ken Goodwin, ITV West Journalist – ‘The art of press releases for television, how to tempt news editors, and what reporters really want.’

Steve Knibbs, BBC Points West’s Gloucestershire Reporter – ‘How BBC regional news works, how it will be changing in the future, and what sort of stories make good TV.’

Marcus Grodentz, Communications and Marketing Service Manager for Gloucester City Council – ‘Why local government isn’t boring and how to sell turkeys, robo-rangers and the weed-killing quad squad to television stations both locally, regionally and nationally.’

Peter Georgi & Teresa Watts, Directors of Berkeley-based Halo Films – ‘How agency and in-house PR and marketing consultants can harness the power of niche channels to reach highly targeted audiences through bespoke ad-funded programming campaigns.’
