SUMMARY:Bristol Music Foundation Industry Day
DESCRIPTION:The BMF are hosting an intensive one day event at the Watershed in Bristol on Thurs 26th Feb to discuss the current status and future of music industry development in the South West. Key regional and national topics will be covered. Lunch will be provided.
Followed by food, bands and bowling in the evening…
We will be launching the project to map the music industry in the South West and our new website. This project aims to assess the activity of music practitioners within the region in order to aid the provision of focused support for business, professional and performance development.
Run in partnership with the SW Regional Development Agency, SW Screen, and UK music trade organisations, it will look to demonstrate the size and economic impact of the music industry in the South West in order to advocate and lobby for increased investment.
Hear from the regional music networks and discuss the establishment of a South West Music Forum. Such a region-wide organisation will connect individuals and businesses, support joined up activity, and provide a platform for dynamic and groundbreaking projects that will have an impact for the South West nationally and internationally.
We will be launching the new website for the BMF and South West Music Forum on the day. This site will feature member profiles, jobs, a noticeboard, advertising opportunities, and much more.
There will be excellent networking opportunities.
Places are strictly limited so please book early.
