Many SMES as well as quoted companies now produce CSR reports. However, much of the good work reported often goes un-noticed by customers and key stakeholders. The CIPR West of England is pleased to welcome CSR specialist Graham Sprigg of IMS Communications and Rebecca Ridsdale, Assistant Director of HR at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust (UH Bristol) to discuss the theory and examples surrounding the topic of CSR promotion.

Graham will review how an intelligent marketing strategy based around sustainability can dramatically improve an organisations profile:

• What exactly is sustainability? – and what is CSR?

• Who cares about CSR? – does good CSR add shareholder value?

• Identifying stakeholder groups; effective message-targeting.

• Making CSR reports work for your clients.

• Reporting and communicating CSR achievements for competitive advantage.

• Ways and means of reporting CSR activities to a wider audience.

Rebecca will present a CSR case study on the Trust’s successful Ambassador’s Network programme, involving extensive liaison with schools in the local area with the aim of delivering work-related experiences for young people and their teachers.
