SUMMARY:South West Office Show 09
DESCRIPTION:New South West Office Show Supports Media
The first ever South West Office Show is set to take place in Bristol this October and will be a one stop shop for everything related to business success. Taking place at the Passenger Shed, Temple Meads, on 20th October 2009, the show will offer local business the chance to network, meet a wide range of essential exhibitors and listen to expert seminars on a host of pressing business issues. Visit www.southwestofficeshow.co.uk for tickets and the latest information.
The show, sponsored by Bristol International Airport, the Peninsula Group and Kiss Radio, is the first of its kind in the South West and will attract over 70 exhibitors. They will be showcasing a range of products and services, from office equipment, design services and software, to marketing expertise, recruitment knowledge and business travel. It is an essential calendar date for all business owners, buyers, office managers, PAs and secretaries.
The premier business event will cater to all aspects of running a business in 2009. Find out about the latest innovations available to save you time and money, pick up samples and exclusive offers, meet new contacts and learn about new services. There will be free seminars throughout the day on subjects including health and safety, stress management, company law, effective communication, and First Aid in the workplace. Original FM and Star Radio will also be giving an essential insight into why radio is a great marketing tool in the current climate.
The event is the brainchild of Rob McCabe, founder of the Secretary Network. He has teamed up with Caroline Sparks, the woman behind the incredibly successful Little Monster Baby and Toddler Show and the Bristol Women’s Show, to run the South West Office Show. Bristol born Rob was inspired to hold the event after the Times Crème exhibition in London was cancelled this year. Realising that there was no longer an event of its kind catering to the needs of South West businesses, he decided to organise one himself.
Caroline explains: “With the current economic pressures, many businesses are struggling to succeed. We felt that it was more important than ever for companies to get together, share information and experiences, learn about new developments and network. The success of my other shows has proved that there’s a real interest and need for regional shows. Who wants the cost and inconvenience of travelling to shows in London and Birmingham when you could have an equivalent event on your doorstep?”
Rob adds: “The recent recession has meant that some local businesses have experienced a tough time. The show will give them access to the latest products and innovations to inspire, save money, streamline and help them survive the downturn. The event will cover a wide range of topics that we’re certain there will be useful insights for every type of office based business.”
Exhibitors already participating in the event cover a large range of office needs and business issues, such as telecommunications, print provision, legal advice, intellectual property, procurement, health and safety, training, computers and conferencing. Some of the names taking part include Wards Solicitors, Clifton College, Barclays Bank, Ashton Court, Accor Hotels, Costco, Printing.com, Uniglobe Travel, Bristol Fairtrade Network and The National Pages – to name but a few.
The event is taking place in the historic Passenger Shed which is perfectly situated for easy access, wherever your business is based in the region. It is adjacent to Bristol Temple Meads train station, on a major bus route and has ample parking. The organisers have agreed discounts for delegates with a number of hotels in the city centre – see www.southwestofficeshow.co.uk for more information. Tickets cost £5 on the day or £3.50 in advance via the website. The first 500 visitors will receive a welcome goodie bag with samples, free gifts, special offers and discounts.
There is a limited amount of exhibition stand space still available and interested businesses should contact Rob on 01275 818823 or marketing@southwestofficeshow.co.uk.
