No DescriptionA unique opportunity to meet the hottest Berlin digital start ups and network with key German media businesses and financiers.

Berlin is the centre of the German creative economy, with 30,000 businesses turning over around €20Bn per year. In addition to strong traditional creative sectors, such as Film, TV, Design and Music, it is the main cluster for innovative digital start-ups across online, social media, games and mobile.

The Creative Industries KTN will partner with Berlin Brandenburg Medianet (key industry led media network), the UK Science & Innovation Network and UK Trade & Investment Germany in order to deliver a unique event in Berlin, on 15th September 2011, exploring this landscape and making active connections for UK digital start ups.

The event will coincide with the launch of the Medianet Catapult mentoring programme and will be attended by the 25 Berlin based digital start ups selected for the 2011/12 scheme, along with the major businesses and financiers who will act in mentor roles.

Over the course of the day attendees will hear keynote presentations from high profile digital entrepreneurs, gain insight on two dynamic European marketplaces and participate in panel discussions contrasting the experiences of UK and German digital start ups and exploring the landscape of European capital finance. Importantly there will be a chance to network with like-minded digital businesses and instigate opportunities for commercial collaboration.
