CIPR West of EnglandThe theme this year is ‘Staying ahead in an ever changing world’ and we’re delighted to be welcoming Declan Curry from the BBC Business Unit to the 2011 conference. Declan is currently the presenter of Your Money and Show Me The Money on the BBC News channel, as well as On The Money on BBC Radio 5 Live. Many of you will also remember him from his time on BBC Breakfast.

The key morning session, 'What happens when you’re on every front page?', will be led by Amanda Hirst who is Head of Corporate Communications for Avon & Somerset Police. Amanda played a pivotal role in handling the media frenzy that surrounded the death of Joanna Yeates.

Workshops:  These sessions, all led by industry experts, will cover a wide range of subjects. You can hear how to get the most out of broadcast, find out how to plan and evaluate your use of social media, and get a better understanding of how to engage with your employees. There will also be a workshop on winning new business.

There will be six workshops: three in the morning and three in the afternoon. When you register for the conference, you will be asked to state a preference for the two workshops you would most like to attend.

The conference is a great opportunity to meet other local professionals, to learn from each other, and to develop new skills. We want as many of you as possible to be able to come, so have kept prices at 2009 levels: if you’re a Bristol Media member and book by 6th May, it will cost only £85.00
