Specialist digital agency, Activation, opens for business
Partners Managing Director Matt Ramsay and Creative Director Dan Hirons have set up the Bristol-based agency, which launched this week. Ramsay was previously managing director of digital agencies 20:20 and Inbox DMG, whilst Hirons was previously Head of Interactive at Carlson Marketing EMEA.
The pair have worked together previously at digital agency E3, where Hirons was creative director, and bring together experience on many world-class brands including Orange, Guinness, Nestlé, United Biscuits, P&G and Peugeot/Citroen.
The agency is clearly positioning itself as a ‘digital activation’ specialist - helping FMCG, consumer and retail brands with their digital marketing strategy and creating digital communications that promote brands, reasons to engage, and reasons to buy, where the consumer is spending their time online.
By focusing not on what brands do, but on why they do it, the agency creates powerful, targeted digital communications that really help consumers understand brands and products.
And by activating consumers with reasons to engage, try, or buy – the agency helps brands drive awareness, engagement, trial, sales, repeat purchase and consumer loyalty.
Matt Ramsay comments: “With our experience in this area we have learnt FMCG, consumer and retail brands need sector experts to make the most of the increasing importance of digital communications to drive activation for their brands, and we bring together these expert skills and knowledge in a focused, specialist agency”
“We have a strong core team with proven creative and strategic credentials with FMCG and consumer brands, and we also have a strong network of specialist partners to call on to ensure we always have the right skills for any particular project.”
