Synergy Creative Engineers New Look for the IED
Bristol based Synergy Creative has just completed a rebranding project for the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED).
The agency was tasked with creating a fresh new look and feel for the IED, including their website and suite of marketing literature, whilst also helping the IED to redefine its key messages.
Nicky Clark, Director at Synergy Creative says:
"The IED is the only professional body representing those working in design in the engineering industry, which means that it has huge scope for membership. However its branding and messaging had been in place for some time and our client realised that it didn’t accurately represent the organisation’s current aspirations. It was also accepted that the Institution was not attracting enough younger professionals to its membership,
Synergy conducted research with existing, lapsed and potential IED members to gain a clear understanding of perceptions of the organisation.
Once the results of the research had been compiled, Synergy spent time looking at how the IED communicated with members and other stakeholders before putting forward its recommendations for a new approach to communication, and a refreshed brand identity.
The result is a new brand identity with a fresh and modern feel and a website which clearly demonstrates the benefits that membership can offer to industry professionals. The new suite of marketing materials reflects this new clarity of approach and communication.
Libby Brodhurst, Chief Executive of IED says: "The team at Synergy have been creative, inspiring and professional, offering expert advice and guidance throughout the process, helping us to identify who we are and how we should project our strengths through our new brand. We are looking forward to continuing to work with the team to roll out our new brand and style through all our communications."
Synergy are now working with IED to develop and implement a communications strategy.
