Following a tender on the Bristol Media website at the end of January, we are pleased to announce that we will continue our successful relationship with Liz Snell and her team at recruitment agency Xchangeteam.  We received tenders from several recruitment companies but not all of them specialized in the Creative Sector which was what we were looking for.  However, Xchangeteam's innovative recruitment offering, their understanding of our members' needs and their contacts locally won the tender. 

The team will be headed up by Liz Snell and supported by the rest of the Xchangeteam South West team.  Liz said "We’re thrilled to be working with Bristol Media and have enjoyed our success so far in helping members with recruitment solutions.  It's a brilliant opportunity for us to continue to support the creative industries, and we are proud to have had the opportunity to work on South West Creative Jobs, the new website designed to connect creative talent with agencies and clients."

Xchangeteam will continue to offer two distinct recruitment packages:

National Vacancy Advertising Service (formerly The Silver Package)

For a fixed fee of £975 plus VAT per vacancy, Xchangeteam will place adverts across up to 10 key job sites relevant to the role (i.e., Design Week, Creative Pool, Chinwag, Guardian) including Bristol Media or South West Creative Jobs, and will forward all applications on to the client.  This will provide members with a wider search, although Xchangeteam will not sift CVs or screen candidates.  However, this still represents a massive saving as costs for clients to advertise on these sites would normally be in excess of £4k.

Retained Recruitment Consultancy Service (formerly The Gold Package)

On the basis that Xchangeteam is appointed exclusively to fill your vacancy, for an agreed period of time, and that no other recruitment activity for that particular vacancy is carried out directly by the client during that time, Xchangeteam will undertake the following.  The fee to the agency is 10% of the salary. All enquiries relating to the vacancy will be directed through Xchangeteam.

  • Account Manager throughout the campaign.
  • Meeting for formal and extensive brief.
  • Expert assistance with writing the advertisement for the role.
  • Post to Top 10 relevant sites and Bristol Media and Talent Retention Scheme.
  • Complete database search from existing candidate database and networking marketing carried out.
  • Assistance with writing job descriptions and person specifications.
  • Help plan recruitment and retention strategy, short, medium and long term.
  • First interview all candidates.
  • Briefing candidates on the role and interview preparation.
  • Arranging (and attending if required) first interviews between client and candidate
  • Feedback after first interview stage.
  • Arranging (and attending if required) second interviews/presentations between client and candidate
  • Feedback after second interview stage.
  • Negotiate and present offer for candidate.
  • Arrange and assist with placement, first day/week support.
  • Feedback and statistics on the campaign.
  • Ongoing support for the business from dedicated Account Manager.

One of the Xchangeteam staff will always be at Media Tuesdays to answer any recruitment questions you might have and they're going to take desk space in our office at Paintworks so that they can be on hand for so many of our members based there.
