Vision for Change Project – Action Learning facilitators needed
Vision for Change is an extension of the annual Vision Conference (www.visionbristol.com), helping participating companies to put into action some of the inspiring thinking and practical tools they encountered during the conference, from the likes of Rory Sutherland, Dan Southern, Dave Trott, Bernie Hogan and Anthony Rose.
Vision for Change focuses on both the development of business and the collaborative development of individual business leaders. Each participant will produce a development plan for their business, and this strand will provide action learning programmes for groups of 6 individuals, across a 6 month period in 2012.
We need experienced facilitators who have delivered past Action Learning programmes, ideally with creative industry leaders. There will be up to 5 groups of 6 individuals and 3 facilitated sessions at 3-month intervals. The Facilitator will:
- Provide the mechanism for reviewing progress on the business plan.
- Allow participants to discuss issues, and gaining peer input, produce specific actions to be taken between review sessions, with actions and events captured in a diary
- Identify specific mentor requirements, and feed into the development of the business strand of the programme, including the use of past Vision conference speakers.
Action Learning Sets are a key creative management tool. They are 2 hour meetings where individuals identify an issue, express their views, and use the ideas of the other participants to form an action plan, which is checked back at the start of the next meeting They are facilitated, and the facilitator is available between sessions to provide connections to other inputs and advisors. Two Action Learning Sets are scheduled for January – March – June, or alternatively February – April - July. If you are interested please contact Paul Appleby paul@vidcomms.co.uk with an expression of interest by the end of Monday 9th January 2012, and details of your past experience in Action Learning facilitation.
