No DescriptionLast week saw the launch of a new media business in Bristol. Launched on 1 November, Immediate Media Co publishes a large portfolio of market-leading and award-winning titles across a diverse range of consumer sectors, from wildlife to weddings, music to triathlon and craft to science. 
 
The new business brings together successful Bristol companies Origin Publishing and BBC Magazines Bristol, along with their shared service subsidiary Magazine Services, and combines them with BBC Magazines in London (publisher of titles including the Radio Times) and digital publisher Magicalia, in a deal backed by private equity firm Exponent. 
 
Immediate Media Co Bristol is based in the heart of the city, in Tower House, Fairfax Street, and employs more than 250 media professionals. The combined business in Bristol comprises 42 magazines, 31 digital assets and other branded properties and is now set to become a major player in the city’s creative media arena, reaching more than one million adults in print and over 400,000 monthly unique usersonline. 
 
The new business is now looking to build on this success in Bristol.
