Bristol Music Trust advertise for a Chief Executive
As a result, the new Bristol Music Trust are now advertising for a Chief Executive who will oversee the development of the organisation and be an ambassador for music in Bristol.
As part of the process of setting up the Trust, Bristol City Council’s cabinet have appointed 8 trustees to a shadow board who are now in discussion with the Council about the details of running Colston Hall from April 2011.
The appointed members of the Trust are:
· Henry Kenyon (Interim Chair)- former partner of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Vice Chair and Treasurer of CLICSargent Cancer Care for Children.
· Stuart Avery - Managing Director, e3 (UK digital agency of the year)
· Michele Balfe - specialist employment, equality and discrimination solicitor with Beachcroft
· Marti Burgess - Solicitor at Metcalfes and Board member of African & Caribbean Chamber of Commerce
· Paul Fordham - General manager, Punch Records (Birmingham urban music development agency)
· Marie McCluskey - Director, Swindon Dance
· Poppy Stephenson - CEO, Bristol Festival Community Group and organiser of BrisFest
· Simon Taylor - CEO, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and Chair, Association of British Orchestras
Bristol City Council will also appoint two representatives to sit on the Trust.
Henry Kenyon, Interim Chair of the Board, said “I am delighted and honoured to have been asked to Chair the Shadow Board at this critical stage, and look forward to involving as many people as possible in working with the Bristol Music Trust to support music in Bristol.”
