Director Jessie Versluys who won the Breakthrough Talent BAFTA and was nominated for the 2009 Single Documentary with Mentorn’s Cutting Edge documentary Katie : My Beautiful Face comes to Bristol for this private showing in association with BAFTA. The event takes place on Monday 6th September at The Picture House, 44 Whiteladies Road, BS8 2NH and starts at 6.30pm.

Jessie and her assistant producer Kate Collier will show their favourite clips and share the secrets of making an amazingly intimate and challenging documentary that has seen global success, and changed perceptions.

They’ll talk about their path into the business and discuss how to handle deeply emotional stories and sensitive subjects effectively.

We’ll cover the wider state of documentaries on TV and in Features, the importance Bristol has in the documentary world and how you can get involved!
