Birmingham Airport has unveiled its brand new website, as part of its ongoing campaign to position itself as a true global hub for travellers. The new website, www.birminghamairport.co.uk forms the core and first phase of an ongoing digital marketing strategy, which will combine social media, customer relationship marketing (CRM) and mobile applications, to target travellers through all channels, where ever they may be in the world.

The airport has been working with specialist digital marketing agency 3Sixty, to create the more modern, informal and customer-friendly design, and is hoping the new-look will drive more visitors to the site when looking for ideas, advice or information before and during travelling.

Paul Kehoe, CEO of Birmingham Airport, comments: “We’re really excited about the launch of our new site, this project has been a work in progress for the past six months and will kick start the first of many digital campaigns in the future.

“We believe the new design will showcase to both leisure and business travellers exactly what Birmingham has to offer and will attract more attention from those who perhaps don’t always think of Birmingham first. This development is one of many areas where we are looking to improve our offering. We are also currently undergoing a £13 million terminal redesign, which will vastly improve the airport experience for passengers.”

The website will include interesting facts and tips about specific destinations, from guides on where to eat, places to see and recommended hotels, as well as the most up-to-date and relevant passenger information, cementing it as ‘the’ website to visit when planning a holiday. There will also be a selection of commercial deals from the airport’s key partners regularly available for visitors to take advantage of. The new layout will also make it easier for customers to search and pay for flights, book accommodation and organise car parking prior to travelling.
