• How to protect your pitches and ideas.
• How to safely use someone’s copyright work.
• Monetising copyright (sale, licensing, joint ventures and other forms of collaborations).
• How to deal with infringement and stolen ideas.
• An example of the treatment of copyright works in a TV or film production.
• A look at recent copyright cases and legislation.

Question and Answer session.

By the end of the session you will:

• Know how to ensure your business is maximising its value and minimising its risk from copyright.
• Have some strategies for how to protect your investment in pitches and ideas developed for specific clients.
• Be aware of how to manage copyright used in your business which is developed by staff, freelancers and via collaborations.
• Know what to do if someone is infringing your copyright.
