Swallows & Amazons at the Bristol Old Vic
![]()
Marauders! Treachery! Mutiny! This means war!

All aboard The Swallow! Follow Captain John and his able crew as they set sail to Wildcat Island on an exotic adventure to encounter savages, capture dastardly pirates and defeat mortal enemies.
This new musical for the whole family, written especially for Bristol Old Vic, and based on the story by Arthur Ransome, is a story of an idyllic era, of endless summer evenings and the beauty of youthful imagination. From Bristol Old Vic’s Artistic Director and Director of the West End and international hit War Horse, the writer of the National Theatre’s astonishing Coram Boy and with music by Neil Hannon (aka The Divine Comedy), this is a show not to be missed. Capturing the imaginations of young and old, this is a Christmas treat that will never be forgotten – even by duffers.
Previews run from 1st to 4th December and ticket prices range from just £5 to £20. To book call the Box Office 0117 987 7877 or visit http://www.bristololdvic.org.uk/
