Kia Motors will be launching a high profile digital advertising campaign to support the sponsorship of US TV shows Lost and 24 on Sky 1 HD which begin at the end of January and early February respectively.

The Lost campaign, created by digital marketing agency E3, will support TV idents, is inspired by Kia’s newest model the Venga, and coincides with the model launch which will be on sale from 1st February.

The campaign will include ads in a number of formats that feature heavily on Sky.com alongside sponsorship of Sky1 Lost and 24 microsites themselves. The online sponsorship will also incorporate Kia product integration in the online fan shows.

Kia is committed to using the latest digital marketing techniques to promote the company online in order to increase traffic to kia.co.uk and to support their extensive dealer network.

Following heavy investment, a major re-launch of Kia’s flagship kia.co.uk, was launched by E3 last year.

John Bache, Database & Digital Marketing Manager, Kia Motors stated:

Since the success of the new kia.co.uk site we have increased our online advertising spend to increase traffic. The digital channel is central to the brand’s marketing strategy and e3 are working collaboratively with us to make it as effective as possible.”

E3’s expertise has had a massive impact for Kia. Since its launch in March 2009, commercial performance of the UK website has improved – sales leads have increased significantly – with brochure requests up 50% year on year. The site was subsequently highly commended ‘Best Website’ at the BIMA awards.

Stuart Avery, Joint MD stated:

“The Lost and 24 campaigns are fantastic to be involved in and it’s great to see Kia continuing to invest in digital. We proved how effective digital can be for Kia with the UK site re-launch. Kia is committed to digital activity and knows that it can be relied upon to increase new customer acquisitions.”

Following the success of the company’s unique and innovative ‘7-Year Kia Warranty’, which was first introduced on the European-made Kia cee’d in late 2006, Kia will now offer the 7-Year / 100,000 mile warranty on all its models in Europe, from the popular Picanto small car to the range-topping Kia Sorento SUV.

The Lost campaign begins on 5th February.
