We are delighted to welcome the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) into Bristol Media for a terrific presentation. The IPA is one of the world’s pre-eminent trade bodies for marketing communications agencies, with over 260 of the UK’s brightest and best agencies in membership, from a broad range of disciplines, who between them handle an estimated 85 per cent of all UK advertising spend. The presentations will review the Changing Times inwhich we are living. The speakers are Janet Hull and Nigel Gwillem and they will explore the growth and influence of behavioural economics, learnings in digital marketing from the growing Asian markets…and the implications of this for us in the UK.

Janet Hull, IPA consultant head of marketing
Janet introduces Rory Sutherland’s new presidential agenda and how it is redefining adland, turning human insight into business advantage.
She will introduce some of the key principles of behavioural economics and provide examples of how it is being used in practice, reshaping the way we think and act in a communications industry.

Nigel Gwilliam, IPA digital consultant
Nigel is back, fresh from travels to Asia and will present key observations on digital developments particularly in China and Japan.
He will explore the implications of a robust internet culture in an ascendant China and consider what Japan’s mobile market tells us about our future… and what it doesn’t.

McCann Erickson will be hosting the event at their offices at 125 Redcliff Street on Friday 22nd January from 12-2pm. Tickets are in short supply so be quick – priced £10 for members and £20 for non-members, including refreshments. You can purchase your ticket quickly and easily using Paypal below.
