Drinkaware, the UK charity which aims to reduce alcohol harm, has appointed Enable Interactive and Frank PR to handle a £1million digital and PR brief, following a joint pitch by the two agencies. The brief is to create and deliver Drinkaware¹s 2009/10 consumer campaign.

Enable – currently Revolution magazine¹s No.1 Digital Agency – co-pitched with Frank PR, Marketing¹s PR Agency of the Year. The two agencies recently worked together on the nationwide Time To Change campaign and used this experience to present an integrated digital/PR response that has the ability to deliver high impact campaigns without using above-the-line advertising.

Chris Sorek, chief executive at Drinkaware, said: ³Having received over 130 expressions of interest in the brief, we conducted a thorough tender process and are delighted to be announcing the appointment of the Enable-Frank team.
Drinkaware was looking for a joint agency team specialising in digital communications and PR to help our in-house teams spread the message about responsible drinking. We were impressed with the agencies ideas, enthusiasm and integrated approach.²

Darius Pocha, Enable Interactive Creative Director, commented “Drinkaware are an important source of advice and information but they want to reach consumers in a fun and personal way. Drinkaware, Enable and Frank are a natural fit we¹re all passionate about ideas, innovation and telling a powerful story.”
