South West companies with great brands, designs, ideas and inventions (“IP”) are being urged to take advantage of free expert advice to protect and develop the IP in their business.
Ashfords solicitors is hosting free one to one advice sessions at its Exeter and Bristol offices on April 27 to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day. Intellectual Property professionals from Ashfords, will be on hand to answer questions, offer advice and explain the law in this important area. The leading South West law firm will be joined by advisers from Business Link and from the Government’s UK Intellectual Property Office.
Ashfords’ Head of Intellectual Property and partner Mark Lomas said: “It is crucial that South West businesses protect their brands, ideas and inventions to ensure they give themselves market edge and protect themselves from claims, this will be particularly important in the current economic climate.
Ashfords is very pleased to have teamed up with Business Link and UKIPO to offer these free sessions and to help local firms.”
Attendees can sign up for the free half hour sessions with an adviser from any of the three organisations, or speak to all of them. Areas covered will include trade marks, patents, brands, data protection, privacy, disputes and registering and commercialising IPRs.
Ashfords is on Exeter Business Park and at Bull Wharf on Redcliff Street, Bristol. The day starts at 9 am.
