Web site homepage

Ten arts education partnership organisations working across the South West to support children and young people’s quality cultural opportunities have launched a new website , to share the impact of their work and promote it across the region.

Funded in partnership between Arts Council England, South West and 15 of the region’s county and unitary authorities, the South West Arts Education Partnership support local, sustainable partnerships between the arts and education sectors. The heart of our programmes is to inspire creative, artistic and cultural experiences for children and young people growing up in the South West.

Our vision is that young people and the communities in which they live and learn grow increasingly able to integrate a rich cultural offer into their everyday lives.

Across the South West we provide a support service for the current national programmes that provide tools for arts development in school and youth settings, such as Artsmark, the Arts Award and the Creative and Media Diploma. Collectively, we perform a key role for Arts Council England South West, working closely together to translate policy into practice.

Together we form a network of collective expertise that invigorates, informs, supports and encourages the relationship between young people and professional artists from all art forms.

Creative Learning Agency is one of the partners which specialises in providing information, advice and guidance through a website portal and acted on behalf of the network to design and build the website. Donna Baber, Manager of Creative Learning Agency commented:

“Each partner has its own website however as a network, we identified the value of having one website portal, www.artseducationsw.org.uk which could promote the network as a whole, give basic information about each agency and signpost visitors appropriately to their local service. The website will also be an advocacy tool for our collective work and services to potential regional and national partners and funders.

“The website holds information including our annual priorities, case studies demonstrating the impact of our services and a page on our core work including pages for Arts Award, Artsmark, brokerage, information and advice and continuing professional development. There are individual pages for each arts education partnership organisation.”
