Crossing the Void

Following the success of ‘Crossing the Void’ in 2008, South West Screen, Bristol Media and Just-b. Productions – producers of Btween – present a one-day event exploring the latest developments in the multiplatform landscape. This interactive one-day event will be joining the dots between TV production, digital media, creative technology and content creation companies.

With TV advertising spend dropping through the floor and web ad spend predicted to soar in coming years, multiplatform and social media entertainment is capturing the imagination and budgets of commissioners from broadcast and brands. Web serials and emerging multiplatform models can maximise budgets and capture more and more targeted eyeballs.

Featuring honest case studies from commissioners and independent producers, Crossing the Void 09 will show how audiences engage with narratives across different platforms and how indies can reap the benefit of the increasingly complicated media landscape.
