Children of The Shadow and Family Band will be screened at Leeds Young People’s Film Festival.

Young People’s short films ‘Children of the Shadow’ and ‘Family Band’ have been selected to compete for the £250 prize in the National Young Filmmakers’ Award taking place on Saturday 4th April as part of Leeds Young People’s Film Festival!

Films were made at the Knowle West Media Centre by our resident film club ‘Digital Fish’ and other young people from South Bristol area as a part of our Media Box funding last year.

The filmmakers have been invited to attend the competition. The trip will cost approx. £600 and will enable Young People to take part in this exciting and educational event. They will have the opportunity to meet the other finalists and get feedback on their film from industry professionals. The prizes will be presented by acclaimed writer Frank Cottrell Boyce (Millions, Cosmic, 24 Hour Party People) who will then present a masterclass on screenwriting and adapting stories for the screen.
