Bristol Media members Spirit PR have been working on Bristol’s World Cup bid – the City Council’s submission to the FA (England 2018) to host world cup games in 2018.

They now need your help! There are just 2 days to go now until England 2018 make their decision on the final 12 host cities. As well as the major footballing centres of Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham etc, Bristol is up against Plymouth, Derby and Milton Keynes, amongst others.

We need to tell England 2018 just how much the people and business of Bristol want the World Cup. As well as putting our city on the world map, hosting up to five games could bring in £150 million in extra tourism, and £100 million in construction spend along with thousands of jobs. It will give generations to come access to world class sports facilities in and around Bristol. And it will pull together different communities in our diverse city.
