The Bristol Media Employers’ Hub will be a free service to all members as part of the new membership packages.
We’ve partnered up with one of our preferred legal suppliers, Thring Townsend Lee and Pembertons to offer a comprehensive online service covering everything an MD, director and manager needs to know about employing people and the law.

The Employment Hub is split into three sections, Pre-Employment, Managing Employment and Termination.
Each section contains information you can access and print including policies and procedures, forms and records, step by step guides and a summary of what the law says in relation to that particular topic.
Here’s just a handful of topics the hub covers and how it can help your business:
Pre-Employment:
How to manage recruitment. This section is broken down into the relevant topics around recruitment guidelines, how to attract the applicant, selecting the right person, right through to offering them a job.
Managing Employment:
How to manage staff to minimise your risks – this section covers everything from absence, appraisals, disciplinary, equal opportunities, pay, flexible working, holidays, maternity and paternity rights, part time workers and poor performance.
Termination:
How to manage leavers including compromise agreements, dismissal notice periods, expiry of contracts, redundancy, resignation and retirement.
