Despite continuing frailty in the business environment and slashed marketing budgets , recent months have seen a major surge in demand for the creative services of Bristol based brand design outfit, Taxi Studio. Growth in projects for key international clients such as BPW, Clarks and Coca Cola, together with a number of pitch wins have resulted in the business seeking to bolster their creative talents.

Taxi, one of the UK’s leading design agencies employ a radically different business model which sees them eschew the use of traditional Account Services and instead revolve all client relationships around direct communication between creative teams and clients.

“Many Creatives are uncomfortable dealing directly with their clients and prefer to have a buffer between themselves and the projects they work on. We don’t work this way and Taxi’s Creatives take briefs first hand, receive all client feedback and own the ongoing relationships with our clients and their brands,” said Spencer Buck, one of Taxi’s Creative Directors and co-founders. “As a result we are very careful about who we employ as they need to have excellent creative, project management and interpersonal skills”.

Two new creatives with outstanding pedigrees and this all-round skill set have been found to join the existing creative team at Taxi starting early in November.

Gareth Beeson joins as Design Director. Gareth began his career with London agency Williams Murray Hamm, where he led design and branding projects for iconic brands such as Jaffa Cakes, Phileas Fogg and Land Securities before moving West to pursue freelancing opportunities. “Gareth is a major signing for Taxi Studio given his outstanding creative talent and experience working on huge brands. He’s also got the perfect attitude for us as he’s comfortable working across mediums from identity to Packaging, POS and Digital and developing big brand ideas with real legs”, said Ryan Wills, Taxi’s other Creative Director (and co-founder).

Zoe Reeves also joins as Mid-Weight designer with 6 years under her belt at Blue Marlin Brand Design and more recently Design Activity in Bristol.
