British Style Genius

BDH designed a central brand device for the series, creating their own stylish clothing label , meticulously stitched and frenetically animated in 3 dimensions. The stitched device was then used in all branding materials, title sequence and all on-screen graphics for the TV series.

From the glamour and artifice of high fashion to the cutting edge creativity of street style, British Style Genius covers it all with the help of contributions from, among others: Kate Moss and Twiggy, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander MacQueen, Michael Caine and Roger Moore, Paul Smith and Oswald Boetang.

The series was launched to the press this week, with a promotional video produced and edited by BDH. It can be seen on the BDH website; http://www.bdh.net/our_work/projects/british-style-genius

Across five one-hour programmes, British Style Genius examines the looks and trends that have come to define British style, from the high street to high-end couture, from bespoke tailoring to street style, from fashion rebels to traditionalist Sloanes.

The title music, On the Motorway by Metronomy, is also released this month to coincide with the series.

BDH’s 360º branding for the series extended to promotional trails, programme graphics and website branding for http://www.bbc.co.uk/britishstylegenius/ which includes on-line film extras.
